Here is some techno-speak for those who are curious:
INTEGRAL NLP, SOLUTION-FOCUSED APPROACH
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is an effective communication tool for achieving human excellence. NLP explores the relationships between how we think (neuro), how we communicate (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotion (programming).
Solution-Focused Coaching utilizes the power of the neo-cortex to create and envision possibilities in a positive and forward thinking direction. Present to future-orientation defines this technique.
Additional concepts related to Ericksonian Principles, Whiteboard Coaching and Four Quadrant Thinking are utilized.
EYE MOVEMENT INTEGRATION (EMI)
Developed by Connirae and Steve Andreas of Colorado in 1989, Eye Movement Integration Therapy (EMI) is an innovative and effective modality for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other difficulties stemming from highly emotional memories. This avant-garde neurotherapeutic technique produces very rapid results, definitively and completely freeing the client from the problematic effects of overwhelming experiences.*
Awake REM – a.k.a. bilateral brain stimulation – through ocular, tactile and auditory senses (eye movements, taps and tones) is used to balance the cerebral hemispheres and assist in emotive processing. The limbic system is an emotional evaluation system without language, and as such, must be accessed through neurophysiological mechanisms.
Muscle Feedback (muscles response testing) confirms the direction of this therapeutic modality.
NLP, Solution-Focused Communication and Energy Psychology may also be utilized.
Refers to stimulating, via tapping, acupuncture or other energy points – individually or in sequence – while focusing on relevant emotional topics in order to rebalance the brain.
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE (EI) includes self-mastery (self-awareness and self-regulation), plus social intelligence (empathy and social skill).* Flexibility, adaptability and resilience are key foundations for effective performance – both personally and professionally – especially when challenges arise.
Neurofeedback is a comprehensive training system that promotes growth and change at the cellular level of the brain. It strengthens neural pathways while increasing mental endurance and flexibility.*
